What can I use my Hemp Beeswax wraps for?

Great question! Our Hemp beeswax cloth wraps are perfect for storing your foods, leftovers and maintain your produces fresh – Veggies & Fruits, cheese, sandwiches, muffins, cakes, herbs, flowers, kids lunches, nuts – The list is endless!

How do I use my new Hemp Beeswax food wrap?

They are simple to use. Using the warmth of your hands, which will help soften the wax and material and a bit of pressure fold the wrap over your bowl or container or merely wrap your fruits, vegetables, and cheese. They are easy to shape into a pouch or cone shape too!

How do I clean my wraps?

I used to wonder this too! They are easy to clean and are water-resistant. To wash, wipe down with a cloth or soft sponge. Use ONLY lukewarm or COLD water (under 50 degrees) and your favourite biodegradable dishwashing soap. Let them dry naturally or pat down with a tea towel, then store in a dry place. It’s that easy, it’s just another dish in the water!

What should I avoid using the wraps for?

Try and avoid eggs and meat, as the wraps shouldn’t be washed in water over 60 degrees Celsius.

Also avoid hot places and hot bowls or liquids, as the beeswax will start to melt off the material. Avoiding these will help make your wrap last longer!

Why are the wraps so sticky?

I asked this question too! The sticky stuff is the beeswax, and we load them with our unique blend to give you extra wax for your money, so there are flecks of golden pine resin and wax; it all natural and super safe!

Why should I use Hemp Beeswax wraps vs. regular cotton wraps?

Another great question! We want to be able to support a sustainable hemp fabric industry for the future. Not only does hemp use half the amount of water than cotton it’s also stronger and more durable. By having some of our wraps using a hemp blend organic cotton blend, we know that the use of pesticides on the product is minimal to non-existent! That’s not only a win for you but for the environment too!

What are the advantages of using hemp beeswax food wraps vs. plastic wraps?

Plastic wrap can be made from a variety of plastics; however, the most popular material is polyvinyl chloride (PVC). Not only is this a one-time use product, but plastic isn’t great for human health. To top it off it would end up in the landfill, environment or our oceans.

With our beeswax wraps, you can use them over and over again. With everyday use, you will notice creasing, but don’t worry, this won’t affect your wraps ability to keep wrapping.

After around 1 year (depending on if you follow our care instructions), they can be composed into your compost bin, empowering you to take control of your waste!

How long will my new Hemp Beeswax food wrap last?

This will really depend on how often you use your wraps and how carefully you wash them. If you stick with our careful washing instructions and love them, they should last anywhere from 8 to 12 months.

The best part is once you have finished using them they can be composed into your compost bin, empowering you to take control of your waste!

How are your beeswax wraps made?

We Hand make our wraps from at least 55% Hemp material and is blended with a 45% organic cotton and either hand dye the natural material with our non-toxic dye and soon to be plant-based dyes (coming soon).

We coat the wrap with locally sourced beeswax, taken sustainably from various hives around the Byron Bay Shire. It’s then infused with natural Organic Coconut Oil & Pine Tree Resin. They are all-natural, anti-bacterial, versatile, economical, simple to use, easy to clean, water-resistant and sustainable.

Help, my wax is starting to wear away!

Never fear it’s easy to re-melt or add more wax to make your wrap like new again!

Can I freeze my wraps in my freezer?

Actually, yes you can! Just wrap your item or bowl, as usual, to create a tight seal and pop in the freezer or fridge. Unwrap slowly, or allow to adjust to room temperature before unfolding, as frozen wax can form cracks.
